1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Makutet.me. By creating an account, building a creator profile, or publishing your profile on Makutet.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Makutet.me.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Makutet (“Makutet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of the Makutet.me creator platform.
2. Description of Services
Makutet.me is a professional travel creator platform that enables travel creators to build, maintain, and publish a professional portfolio profile. Our services include:
- Creator profile creation and management
- AI-assisted analysis of your supplied information and authorised social media content to help build your profile
- Optional authenticated social media connections (e.g. TikTok, Instagram) for importing public content metadata
- Public profile publication at makutet.me/your-slug
- Profile discovery and sharing tools
3. Eligibility and Account Creation
To create a Makutet.me account, you must provide a valid email address and accurate information. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
4. Creator Account Responsibilities
4.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when building your Makutet profile. You are responsible for keeping your profile information up to date and for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
4.2 Ownership and Responsibility for Submitted Content
You are solely responsible for all content you submit, upload, or display on your Makutet profile. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the right to display all content you upload
- Your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
- Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
You retain ownership of all content you submit. By publishing your profile, you grant Makutet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display your content on Makutet.me for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
5. Creator Profiles and Public Publication
Your Makutet profile is your professional travel creator portfolio. When you choose to publish, your profile becomes publicly visible at makutet.me/your-slug. You control what information is included in your published profile through the profile editor.
You can unpublish or edit your profile at any time. Once unpublished, your profile is no longer visible to the public, though your account and draft data remain.
Makutet reserves the right to remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. Connected Social Accounts
6.1 Authorisation of Third-Party Platforms
When you choose to connect a social media account (such as TikTok or Instagram), you will be redirected to that platform’s own authorisation screen. You control what permissions you grant to Makutet. Makutet only accesses information that the platform’s API permits and that you authorise.
Accepting these Terms does not give Makutet automatic access to your social media accounts.Social account access is a separate authorisation that you grant through the platform’s own OAuth consent screen. You can decline social authorisation without affecting your Makutet account.
6.2 Use of Imported Information
When you authorise a social media connection, Makutet imports content metadata (such as captions, titles, thumbnail URLs, and engagement counts) from your authorised account. We use this information to help construct and maintain your professional travel profile on Makutet.me.
We do not download or store video or image files from your social media accounts. We store metadata (text and URLs) only. Your social media content remains owned by you and hosted by the originating platform.
6.3 Social Media Platform Terms
Your use of connected social media platforms is governed by those platforms’ own terms of service and privacy policies. Makutet is not responsible for the actions of social media platforms, including changes to their APIs, access restrictions, or data availability. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any platform you connect.
7. AI-Assisted Profile Analysis
7.1 How AI Analysis Works
Makutet uses AI-assisted analysis to help build your profile from the information you provide and the content imported from your authorised social media connections. The analysis generates evidence-backed findings (such as destinations, brands, content categories, and travel specialisms) based on the available source material.
7.2 Creator Responsibility for Reviewing AI-Generated Information
AI-generated findings are suggestions, not facts. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-assisted findings before they are published to your profile. You can confirm, edit, or reject each finding. Only findings you confirm are written to your profile.
You should not publish findings that you know to be inaccurate or that you cannot verify. Makutet is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated findings that you confirm and publish.
7.3 Confirmation, Editing, and Rejection of Findings
During the profile building process, you will be presented with AI-assisted findings for your review. For each finding, you can:
- Confirm: Accept the finding and add it to your profile
- Edit: Modify the finding before confirming it
- Reject: Decline the finding so it is not added to your profile
- Add manually: Add your own findings that the analysis did not detect
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Makutet.me only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information in your profile
- Submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with a person or entity
- Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
- Use the service to engage in any illegal or fraudulent activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Makutet Content
The Makutet.me platform, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by Makutet and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Makutet’s platform content without permission.
9.2 Creator Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to your Makutet profile. By publishing your profile, you grant Makutet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display your content on Makutet.me for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
10. Third-Party Services
Makutet.me integrates with third-party services, including social media platforms (e.g. TikTok, Instagram) and cloud infrastructure providers. These services are governed by their own terms and policies. Makutet is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of third-party services.
Your use of connected social media platforms is subject to those platforms’ own terms of service. Makutet’s access to your social media data is subject to the platform’s API terms and the permissions you grant.
11. Service Availability and Changes
Makutet.me is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
We reserve the right to change or discontinue any feature of the service at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your published profile.
12. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to Makutet.me at our discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in harmful activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your published profile will be removed from public view, and your account data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Makutet.me account at any time. Upon deletion, your published profile is removed from public view and your data is deleted from our active systems, subject to the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy. Consent records may be retained for legal and audit purposes.
14. Disclaimers
Makutet.me is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
- AI-assisted findings will be accurate, complete, or reliable
- Imported social media data will be complete or current
- Errors in the service will be corrected
AI-assisted findings are suggestions for your review, not verified facts. You are responsible for verifying all information before publishing it to your profile.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makutet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to these Terms or the service.
Your use of social media connections and imported data is at your own risk. Makutet is not responsible for the actions of social media platforms, including changes to their APIs, access restrictions, or data availability.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Note: The governing law and jurisdiction for these Terms has not yet been determined. This section will be updated once the legal entity’s registration details and applicable jurisdiction are confirmed. Until then, disputes will be handled in good faith between the parties.
17. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If you have previously accepted an earlier version, you will be asked to accept the new version before your next publication action.
Your continued use of Makutet.me after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
